Jet, Oct 25, 1993
The NBA recently announced it has closed the books on the investigation surrounding retired Chicago Bulls superstar Michael Jordan and allegations of gambling.
Commissioner David Stern said the investigation into Jordan's gambling activities revealed "absolutely no evidence Jordan violated league rules."
Stern continued: "The Lacey investigation is officially closed. Michael and I have agreed to meet to discuss Michael's off-court activity, and that meeting will still be held in the future."
This summer, former federal judge Frederick Lacey was hired by Stern after a book in San Diego businessman Richard Esquinas alleged Jordan lost $1.25 million to him in golf bets and they negotiated a $300,000 settlement.
