Cosby only black on Forbes' '400 richest' list; worth over $315 million - Bill Cosby

TV superstar Bill Cosby is the only Black American to make this year's Forbes annual "400 Richest People In America" list.
Cosby, 56, whose former TV series "The Cosby Show" pushed the NBC network to the No. 1 spot, has a net worth of more than $315 million, according to the magazine's "The Forbes Four Hundred" list.
"The Cosby Show's syndicated reruns earn $1 billion and Cosby gets one-third of that, the magazine reported.
He also is one of Hollywood's top paid pitchmen and has endorsed such products as Kodak and Jello.
Cosby also is a top selling author of such books as Fatherhood and Childhood, remains one of the top performers in Las Vegas and enjoys big, concert followings throughout the country.

A longtime philanthropist Cosby gave a record $20 million to Spelman College in Atlanta two years ago (Jet, Nov. 21, 1988).
Others who made the list published in the magazine's Oct. 18th issue include billionaires, media mogul Ted Turner and former presidential candidate H. Ross Perot.
To make the list, one must have a net worth of at least $300 million.
