Pentecostal Bishop David L. Ellis dies in Detroit

Noted Bishop David L. Ellis, pastor of Greater Grace Temple of the Apostolic Faith, Inc. in Detroit, MI, recently died. He was 60.

A second generation pentecostal, Bishop Ellis left his home in Chicago at age 26 and assumed the pastorate of New Bethel Temple. Its name was later changed to Greater Grace Temple, which enjoyed tremedous growth.

Bishop Ellis was Assistant Presiding Bishop of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc. and Diocesan of the Georgia State Council.

Survivors include his wife, Wilma Ruth Ellis; seven children, and nine grandchildren.
