Burrell, Lawson Chicago Business Hall of Fame inductees

Prominent Windy City business pioneers Thomas Burrell and Louise K. Quarles Lawson recently were inducted into the prestigious Junior Achievement Chicago Business Hall of Fame at the Museum of Science and Industry.
Lawson, 75, the retired president and CEO of Illinois/Service Federal Savings and Loan Association, was the first Black woman to head a savings and loan in the United States.
Burrell, 55, is founder and chairman of Burrell Communications Group, one of the nation's largest minority-owned marketing communications agencies.
