Rhonda Ross wasn't surprised to learn Berry Gordon Jr. was her father

Rhonda Ross, the eldest daughter of Supremes great Diana Ross, said in the New York Post that she wasn't shocked to learn that Motown founder Berry Gordy Jr. was her father.

Rhonda said in the newspaper's Page Six column that Gordy was a friend of the family who had always kept in touch with her.

The 22 year old said she found out when she was 13 that Gordy was her father. "I've known him forever as a friend of the family. But we always did have a special relationship--even before I knew he was my dad," she told the Post.

And even though people tell the aspiring jazz singer that she looks like her mother, she thinks she looks more like Gordy.

"I have the Gordy eyes--he also has those big eyes. And I think I have his smile and I'm also short like him."

Rhonda, who performs at various NY nightclubs, admits she's nervous when her parents come to her show.

"It's not that they're Diana Ross or Berry Gordy that makes me nervous when they're in the audience, it's just that they're my parents. Everybody wants to show their folks that they're not wasting their lives," she told the paper.
