Jackie Brown, scheduled to open on Christmas Day, is a suspenseful movie centered around the lives of several criminals who try to outwit one another.

The plot revolves around Jackie Brown, played by '70s action movie queen Pam Grier. Brown is a flight attendant who supplements her meager income by smuggling cash into the United States for an illegal arms dealer. The arms dealer, Ordell Robbie, is played by Oscar-nominated actor Samuel L. Jackson.

Brown is stopped in her tracks by a federal agent, played by Michael Keaton, and a cop, played by Michael Bowen. They try to get her to cooperate to frame Robbie. Instead, Brown tries to outwit both the feds and Robbie by appearing to cooperate with both sides.

Adding to the deceitful web are Robbie's friends, Melanie Ralston (Bridget Fonda) and Louis Gara (Robert De Niro), who have their own hidden agendas.

Comedian Chris Tucker also stars in the suspenseful thriller, which was written and directed by Quentin Tarantino, best known for his award winning Pulp Fiction. The Miramax Film is based upon the novel Rum Punch by Elmore Leonard.
