Banking executive John A. Cooper Jr. recently joined the Riyad Bank of Saudi Arabia, in a high-level marketing management position. Riyad Bank is one of the major banking institutions in the Middle East.
Prior to his new position, Cooper was a vice president of the Standard Chartered Bank of England in its New York City office, specializing in global corporate banking.
The 38-year-old Rutgers University MBA graduate has had 14 years of experience in the banking industry including work at Princeton Bank and Trust, Central Jersey Bank and Trust, Chemical Bank and for the last four years at the British multinational bank.
Cooper holds a bachelor's degree from Morehouse College in Atlanta, where his father John Sr. was an alumnus who distinguished himself in business and foreign government service (JET, March 31, 1960).
He is married and has two young children. Cooper and his family have resided in Hamilton Square, NJ, since 1982.
