Orlando's Shaq O'Neal to attend summer school
Jet, July 3, 1995
Orlando Magic Center Shaquille O'Neal recently announced he will return to school this summer and work on getting his degree.
Hoping to gain some of the 36 hours needed for a degree in business, O'Neal will return to Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA.
The 7-foot-1, 300-pound basketball dynamo left Louisiana State in his junior year after becoming the No. 1 draft pick in 1992 and signing a $40 million, seven-year contract with the Magic.
O'Neal wants to fulfill the promise he made to his mother, Lucille O'Neal Harrison, that he would return to school.
