500 Black students get $5M in scholarships at Project Excellence/Freedom Forum Scholarship Day

Two Black students were among the 32 Americans selected to receive prestigious Rhodes Scholarships this year.
Alvan Ikoku and Malaika Marie Williams will receive scholarships to attend Oxford University in England. The scholarship pays for all university fees and provides a stipend to cover necessary expenses.
Ikoku is currently a biology major at Stanford University (CA). He wants to work in his parents, native country, Nigeria, to care and education. Williams is currently majoring in biochemistry and psychology at Whittier College (NV). She plans to become a doctor and specialize in transplantation surgery.
The selection of Rhodes Scholars is based on high academic achievement, integrity of character, a spirit of unselfishness, respect for others, potential leadership and physical ngor.
