THE ALMOST ALL-IN-ONE

Chalk another one up for convergence. Samsung's Digimax35 MP3 is a digital camera, Web camera, and MP3 player squeezed into one tiny form. The USB device comes with an 8MB CompactFlash card (good for photos and two to three MP3 songs) and the e-maxManager software, which allows you to upload your photos and create 3-D images, short animations, and panoramas. You'll still need advanced image-editing software to fix the so-so images. But for quick, no-fuss photos, it's worth a shot. Samsung OPTO-Electronics America Inc., $289.99,www.samsungusa.com; 800-SNAPSHOT.
