SENTEL lands $487 million deal: company to provide U.S. Army with sensor technology

ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA-BASED SENTEL CORP. (NO. 90 on the BE INDUSTRIAL/SERVICE 100 list with $45 million in revenues) has snared a five-year service contract with the U.S. Army worth up to $487 million. SENTEL will support the Arrays Night Visions and Electronic Sensors Directorate (NVESD) with engineering, test, and evaluation services. The company will also help NVESD's night vision technologies reach maximum operational and efficiency targets.

Darrell Crapps, president and CEO, says the assignment is a task-oriented contract and ranks as one of the largest deals the company has ever been awarded "We have worked to support the efforts of the Army over the years on various projects," he adds. "This award reflects the continued high level of confidence the Army places in our company and the capabilities of our team." SENTEL is a wholly owned subsidiary, of WC Holdings and a full-service provider of engineering and technology, services to government, military, and commercial entities.
