* Established in 1891, N.C. A&T is a public, comprehensive, land-grant university in the University of North Carolina System (UNC).

* One of the largest producers of African American Certified Public Accountants in the nation; one of only four accredited accounting programs in North Carolina; one of only 160 in the nation. First HBCU with AACSB accredited accounting program,

* School of Business and Economics is housed in the new Quiester Craig Hall, a state-of-the-art facility. It is accredited by the nation's premiere accrediting agency, AACSB International. First HBCU in North Carolina and first business school program in Piedmont Triad to gain AACSB accreditation.

* Master of Science in Management (MSM) program provides high quality, specialized education to prepare graduates for analysis, decision-making, and leadership in management information systems, transportation/supply chain management, and human resource management.

* Largest producer of African American doctorates in engineering in the nation. Awarding over 20 doctorates in engineering this year. Ph.D. programs are mechanical, electrical, and industrial engineering.

* Highest producer of African Americans with bachelor's degrees and master's degrees in engineering.

* New interdisciplinary programs in global studies. entrepreneurship, and motorsports. A&T's Motorsports Technology Program races internationally and was featured on NBC Nightly News.
