Awareness organizer

Black Enterprise, Jan, 1996 by Rafiki Cai

Now there is calendar/organizer software designed with the African American professional in mind. Wayne Smalls and Tony Gibson, founders of Pyramid Computer Services, have introduced SuccessWorks 96, a personal information manager that also provides information about African American events and businesses.

Organized on a tabbed notebook format, SuccessWorks offers users a preloaded bank of telephone numbers for key individuals and businesses in the African American community. Another database provides information on African American events taking place nationwide. Each day a "quote of the day" is featured from George Fraser's book, Success Runs in our Race. Users can create their own bank of key contacts and add their own networking events onto the calendar.

The Windows program also contains a "This Day in Black History" database, additional lists of black-oriented BBSs and an autodial function. SuccessWorks 96 sells for $49.99 by mail order. Call 1-800-804-7558 for more information.
