Kiplinger and Block Financial's new TaxCut for Windows makes preparing and filing your tax returns easier, less expensive and more accurate.
All you'll need are your W-2 and 1099 tax forms and a few minutes, depending on your tax situation. With the help of an interview process, TaxCut fills out your 1040 (or any of the over 100 IRS forms that the program carries) with the information you input. As you progress through the forms, boxes with Kiplinger Tax Advice appear, informing you of potential tax-saving strategies. When you are finished, TaxCut calculates your refund or tells you the amount of taxes you owe. With TaxCut's Review feature, you can view your results in the form of a pie chart that gives you a breakdown of your state, federal and Social Security taxes.
