Why must you add to the negative press regarding the only democracy in the Middle East? Uri Avnery's article, "God Wills It!" (January/February 2005) is of a fringe mindset and gives the impression that it is the majority view.

The Israeli Arabs are the freest in the world and you don't hear of violence from them. They also have, outside of the smaller emirates, the highest per capita income and life expectancy among Arabs. Israel recently exchanged 120 Palestinian prisoners to obtain the release of one Israeli Arab. Israel consists of 6.7 million people (or .001 percent of the world), 1.3 million of whom are Arabs. Yet there are 1.48 billion Muslims who largely hope for Israel's destruction. Why are you giving Israel so much damaging attention?

And how many Islamic Humanists do you know off. You would need a whole new magazine to cover Islam and anti-humanism.

Let's keep matters in perspective. There are 13 million Jewish people in the world. Anti-Semites don't need the help of your less than even-handedness.
