In Uri Avnery's article, "God Wills It!" (January/February 2005), we made an error in the sentence, "The chiefs of the religious-nationalistic wing, and especially the settlers, have for years been engaged in a systematic effort to capture the Palestinian army from the inside." The "Palestinian army" should have been "the Israeli army."

In the March/April 2005 issue, a published letter to the editor from David Werdegar about Michael Fitzgerald's article, "Militarism: A Way of Life," asserted, "Charles E. Wilson ... was the president of General Motors Corporation in the 1940s, not General Electric." Apparently there were two Charles E. Wilsons who were industry leaders during that time: "Engine Charlie," president of General Motors, and "Electric Charlie," president of General Electric. And speaking of Michael Fitzgerald, there was a minor error in his review of Arthur Schlesinger's War and the American Presidency (March/ April 2005). He wrote that the book "contains no notes and no index." The book does have an index but still no notes or references.

By the way, has anyone seen our glasses?
