Paddle at a perfect pace and vantage point for reflecting on nature. Many of our Canoe and Kayak Trips combine paddling and dayhiking, giving you time to explore, photograph, and stretch your legs. Several trips combine lake exploration with much-needed volunteer projects. You'll brush up on your boating skills, learn a few new ones, and share your adventure with fellow outdoor enthusiasts.
Canoeing Okefenokee Swamp, Georgia. March 14-19. From our base camps on both the eastern and western edge of this great but imperiled swamp, we will canoe various sections of the Okefenokee. We will explore the Coastal prairies and cypress forests, habitat for birds, mammals, and reptiles (such as Pogo and friends). Canoe the North Woods, Allagash Wilderness Waterway, Maine. July 4-10. The magnificent forests of northern Maine are best seen from the water. Travel the renowned Allagash, the nation's first designated Wild and Scenic River. Come and paddle with us through 80 miles of intermittent whitewater, beautiful lakes, and peaceful streams. Women's Northwoods Paddle and Portage, Superior Forest, Minnesota. July 20-25. Glacier-carved lakes reflecting pine forests are home to a wealth-of wildlife including moose, loons, and eagles. We carry packs and canoes over historic portages, paddle lakes and twisting streams, then pitch tents, swim, fish, and share cooking and camp work. Suwannee River Canoe, Florida. October 30-November 6. Float down the pristine, peaceful upper Suwannee. The river flows out of the Okefenokee Swamp into a woodlands of Spanish moss-covered oak and towering cypress. Limestone outcrops with ancient ocean fossils line the bank.
