CORRECTIONS - Correction Notice

Sierra, Nov-Dec, 2001

In the caption for "Last Words" on the last page of the July/August issue, we misidentified the Mexican free-tailed bat as the "main pollinator of the agave plant" (the source of tequila). Margarita drinkers actually owe their thanks to the Mexican long-nosed bat and its long-nosed cousins.

In our review of a new book about genetically engineered food, First Fruits, we misnamed the author. She is Belinda Martineau.
