The Complete Atomic Basie by the Count Basie Orchestra (Roulette CDP 7243 8 28635 2 6)--Everyone is swinging in the epicenter of this crater. "Explosive" is not enough to describe this reissue of a 1957 studio recording of the Basie band--a bad band with some of the meanest hornmen and the tightest rhythm section in the business.
