The downside of FaxStf is found in its interface and performance. Most functions can be invoked only by clicking on icons, which aren't always clear, and sometimes the functions require dragging items from window to window, which can be onfusing.

Performance was surprisingly sluggish on a Mac IIfx with 32MB of RAM. AutoOCR had problems formatting a one-page fax, and its error message asked for more free disk space on a drive with 50MB available. And whereas other packages recover from problems that may occur during faxing, FaxStf hangs up the system.

FaxStf provides a wealth of features that will manage your faxes, but you'll have to get used to its interface and be willing to tolerate its eccentricities.
