> New York City public school teachers have given a failing grade to the latest curriculum guide from the city's Education Department. Among many other errors, the guide told teachers to identify students' "strengthens and weaknesses" and to "think about a time when your family work together." The guide said teachers should explain the discipline code so "everyone understands how serious we all are in making schools that is safe for student's body's, Schools that is safe for students' feelings...." The guide also referred to George Orwell's Animal Farm as a story about the importance of rules.
