Did Eagleburger's business ties shape the disastrous decisions that contributed to the terrible turmoil in Yugoslavia? Might they shape the advice he offers to McCain?

In contrast to Kissinger, Eagleburger takes no offense at the question. The answer, he says, is no. "I can't conceive of how any of my decisions on Yugoslavia had any effect on that [business]," he tells Insight. "I'd resigned from the board of Yugo long before I went back into government." He says he issued a rebuttal to the Gonzalez attack, calling it quite an ordeal.
