* The immigrant population of the United States is growing at an unprecedented rate -- six-and-a-half times faster than the native-born population (Center for Immigration Studies, www.cis.org).

* Fifty-four percent of more than 2,000 companies said they monitor Internet use by employees in some way (Survey conducted by the American Management Association).

* Seventy-one percent of British users of the Internet have experienced "Net rage," exceeding the number of those who had experienced similar feelings in reaction to traffic jams, waiting in line or problems with in-laws. One in five respondents said they found problems with the Internet more stressful than those resulting from being abandoned by a romantic partner (Study conducted by WebTop, a British indexing company, reported by NewsFactor Network).
