Sexual over-permissiveness places children in danger

The fair comment article "New Study Suggests Risks Linked to Gay Foster Parenting" by Paul Cameron [Dec. 24, 2002-Jan. 6, 2003] is outstanding and long-overdue. Cameron's in-depth research on this controversial issue leaves little room for argument from the other side. I applaud him for his work.

Several years ago, a scoutmaster in the Boy Scouts of America was found to have molested one of his scouts. It prompted a requirement for the Boy Scouts to conduct background investigations on candidates for scoutmaster and to disallow homosexual men from attaining that position. Subsequently there have been instances in which boys who desired to remain as scouts have been disallowed that privilege, resulting in public outrage against the Boy Scouts.

The liberal left, in its quest to be tolerant of all persons, has placed our children in extreme danger from homosexual predators. As a for merelementary school teacher and former law-enforcement officer, I fear for this period in our nation's development.
