-- Police Officer Ernest Dymond, injured when he tried to stop a speeding van as it rolled through a checkpoint doing 35 mph at the Westchester County, N. Y, airport. As it turned out. the van was part of the entourage of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y).

"I'll subpoena every one of you mother-[expletive] and bring you down, and I'll turn my chamber into a national circus."

-- D.C. Councilman David Catania, a Republican, recalling his comments to a national Salvation Army official regarding the charity's Bible-based policies against employment of homosexuals.
