* Sixty-six percent of those responding do not think a bad temper should disqualify a candidate from running for president (Fox News/Opinion Dynamics poll).

* Two in 10 American workers say they know someone they think is capable of committing a violent act at their workplace. Forty percent said they are not confident in security measures at their workplace (Gallup Poll).

* Eighty-three percent of female workers in congressional offices earn as much as male counterparts, a drop of 5 percent from a similar survey in 1997 (Congressional Management Foundation survey quoted in Roll Call newspaper).
