-- Graffiti sprayed on fur stores in the Long Island, N.Y., area attacked by Animal Liberation Front supporters of the "Sheboygan 14," a group arrested while protesting at a Wisconsin fur farm.

-- Republican National Committee Chairman Jim Nicholson applauds Rep. Virgil Goode, former Virginia Democrat, who declared himself an independent voting with the Republican caucus.
