Are schools vouch safe?

Still another Midwestern state has met similar obstacles pursuing voucher-based educational reform. "Michigan is now considering a plan that would give high-school students a voucher to use for private driver education," Joe Lehman, a spokesman for the Mackinac Center for Public Policy, tells Insight. "Of course, the usual suspects are crying that this is the first step to tearing down the wall between church and state."

According to Bolick, however, "By the end of the summer, we will know the future of school choice in this country It is a David vs. Goliath story. Low-income parents against the educational establishment. But the Berlin Wall is coming down, brick by brick."
