Scott White, 43 hospitality employee
"No, Las Vegas is definitely not a gay mecca. It is gay-friendly but doesn't market to the GLBT community. The only example of Las Vegas actively pursuing the gay community is in the Paris hotel advertising on Bravo."

Maria Baltzar-Lopez, 33 marketing professional
"Yes. Many residents are gay or lesbian, and it creates a tolerant atmosphere."

Damien Faria, 30 waiter
"No, Vegas is only a tourist trap. There is no gay culture here. Have you ever seen the gay pride [celebration] in Las Vegas? It's embarrassing. There is nothing to be proud of."

"No, Las Vegas seems to be more geared toward straight guys who come to gamble, have their bachelor parties, and gawk at female strippers."

Regina King, 23 administrative assistant
"No, it's not a gay mecca, but I believe it's a transgender mecca. I do see many TGs come here because in Sin City everyone is here to have a good time. Also, many tourists come here looking for special girls like me. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, right?"
