"More than 100 people tried to cram into a small auditorium at the Keene [N.H.] Public Library last night to give their views on gay marriage.... Massachusetts now legally recognizes same-sex marriages ... and one of that state's representatives, Philip Travis, attended the meeting to urge New Hampshire not to do the same.... 'Homosexuality,' [said] Travis, 'is a choice that's made over time. We read hundreds of studies on this in Massachusetts. You never heard of an interracial marriage involving two black men.'"
