BARRY NIELSEN, 48, a gay San Francisco artist and architect who was found unconscious on the street, of a mysterious head injury after being taken off life support, October 25.

SIMON HOBART, 41, a popular London club promoter and creator of Popstarz, the city's first gay indie club in 1995, of an unspecified cause, outside his home, October 23.
