Student Sabrina Audrey Jess's play Offsides had a modest two-day run at Stone Bridge High School in Ashburn, Va., in February. Still, it caused an uproar because a high school football star grapples with being gay and kisses another boy. The school district received hundreds of e-mails, and local Republican lawmakers are denouncing its pro-gay message.
