Rob Lotterstein Creator, The War at Home, Fox, Sundays

The War at Home's put-upon dad Dave (Michael Rapaport) doesn't exactly embrace his 15-year-old's alleged homosexuality in the opener. But creator and executive producer Rob Lotterstein (whose previous gigs include Ellen and Will & Grace) says a homo sensibility is all over this otherwise traditional sitcom.

"In the first episode the parents find out that their son's actually not [gay]," he says. "But then, three or four episodes later, [they] think that they have definitive proof that he really is" when the lad (played by Kyle Sullivan) tries to raise his profile at school "by starring in the musical Annie Get Your Gun!"

The partnered Lotterstein also reveals that mum Vicky's (Anita Barone) sapphic side comes out when her college roomie pays a visit. "She's the one girl Dave didn't sleep with, and he's a little put off ... [especially] when he finds out that Vicky also got to fool around with her."--D.H.
