* DANGEROUS BEAUTY

Cloud experts have sighted beautiful noctilucent clouds, or silvery blue ice clouds, over Colorado--1,000 kilometers farther south than usual. Is air pollution to blame?

* WING OR DRUMSTICK?

Scientists recently inserted a chicken-leg gene, (hereditary/unit) into a chicken embryo's wing. The result? Them wing turned into the chicken's third leg!

* MOON CHIP Just discovered: a small asteroid circling the sun near Earth's orbit. Scientists believe the 50 meter- (160 foot) wide space rock chipped off the moon.
