Sweet! A new list of disease-busting foods is full of sugary fruits.

The foods are loaded with antioxidants, chemical compounds that protect your cells. Inside your body, free radicals (atoms missing an electron, a negatively charged particle) attack healthy cells. That can lead to cancer, says Ronald Prior, a nutritionist at the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Luckily, antioxidants block these attackers.

Prior calculated the total antioxidant amount in 100 foods. Result: Fruits rate "berry" high. Which packs more antioxidants: 2 cups of blueberries or 3 cups of raspberries (see graph, below)?
