Good for you, bad for them - study finds that raising speed limits would increase fatal injuries to women and elderly, but not to men - Brief Article

A STUDY at Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania found that raising freeway speed limits to 70 mph increases the risk of fatal injuries to women and the elderly, but doesn't impact men under age 65. Twenty-nine states have instituted the higher-speed maximums since Congress ended the national 55-mph limit in 1995.
