When it's time to wash colored denim, keep this in mind: You don't want your jeans to fade (think Bon Jovi circa 1985). So instead of regular soap, use a special detergent, such as Woolite For All Colors Fabric Wash, which will help stop fading and prevent your jeans from bleeding onto any of your other clothing while wet.
