What women want - Female Persuasions - Brief Article

Men's Fitness, Nov, 2002

WHAT TYPE OF MUSIC DO YOU FIND MOST APPROPRIATE FOR AN INTIMATE SITUATION?

CHRISTINA: I'll say classical. It's more romantic, more relaxing.

CLAUDIA: Probably slow R&B. It's romantic; it's all about love and feelings. I like Barry White.

KATHY: Mellow jazz, because it's not too intimate to cross that line, but still puts people in a romantic mood.

WHAT THREE PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS DO YOU FIND MOST ATTRACTIVE IN A MAN?

CHRISTINA: He needs to have a full head of hair, a nice butt, and he needs to be tall. Around 5'11". If he's taller, that's good. If he's 5'10" and up, that's good too.

CLAUDIA: Legs, nice arms and a wide back.

KATHY: Jaw line, broad shoulders and a likeness to Arnold Schwarzenegger.

AT WHAT POINT IN A RELATIONSHIP IS IT OKAY FOR A MAN TO BUY YOU LINGERIE?

CHRISTINA: I think it depends. It could be a month. It depends on how intense the relationship is. It really depends on the couple.

CLAUDIA: Eight months. I guess that's where he would know my taste in lingerie. But it would have to be appropriate. I don't like the dominatrix type of lingerie, so that would be a turnoff for me.

KATHY: As a wedding present. What's the point if he's not going to see me wear it?

HOW CAN A GUY WATCH FOOTBALL FOR MOST OF THE DAY ON SUNDAY AND STILL KEEP YOU HAPPY?

CHRISTINA: I personally love sports. So a guy watching football all day doesn't really bother me at all.

CLAUDIA: By complimenting me, even if it's while he's still watching TV. Making comments that I look better than the cheerleaders. But there is a limit--I do like to spend some quality time.

KATHY: If he watches football when I'm out of town.

WHAT THREE PERSONALITY TRAITS DO YOU FIND MOST IMPORTANT IN A MAN?

CHRISTINA: Personality, a good sense of humor, and a way of treating a woman with respect.

CLAUDIA: A manly man, someone who can fix cars or is a good handyman. Someone I can feel safe with. And a confident man--no jealousy.

KATHY: Spirituality, confidence and a sense of humor--and understanding and patience to put up with my crap.
