Don't settle for less - Letters

Men's Fitness,  Jan, 2002

I started reading your magazine quite recently, and through it I've learned many things about weightlifting. I have put on noticeable muscle, but I'm stuck at a plateau, particularly with my bench press. Concerning my upper body, I was thinking of trying something like: Monday, chest; Tuesday, triceps; Wednesday, off; Thursday, biceps; Friday, back; Saturday/Sunday, off/cardio. I would really appreciate your expertise on this. --MIKE AGINS, VIA MENSFITNESS.COM

Mike, you might want to train both back and arms on Tuesday. We don't recommend devoting entire training sessions to either biceps or triceps. And how about working those wheels? Give this split a try: Monday, chest; Tuesday, back/ shoulders; Wednesday, off; Thursday, biceps/triceps; Friday, legs; Saturday/ Sunday, off. Reading this month's Body Shop (pg. 114) would also do you good.
