Ditch the belt, Luggo
Dean BrierlyUNLESS YOU'RE powerlifting or hoisting extremely heavy weights in the gym, you should stash that weight belt away with your terry cloth headband that fell out of favor 15 years ago. According to a study done at the Albany Medical Center in Albany, N.Y., there was no measurable difference in strength gains between those who wore belts and those who didn't. The subjects who didn't wear belts, however, had better abdominal and back strength.
