Friends boost your brain

Men's Fitness,  March, 2008

When docs at the University of Michigan asked a group of students to either chat in small groups, perform "intellectual activities" such as crossword puzzles, or watch TV prior to taking a test, they found that those who talked did just as well as those who warmed up their brain with mental exercises.

(Both groups easily whipped the couch potatoes.) So next time you're preparing for an exam, don't underestimate the value of a quick phone call to friends or family to get you ready.
