This supplement, made from shellfish, is supposed to keep your body from digesting fat. But a new University of California at Davis study disputes that claim, warning that chitosan is useless for weight loss. In fact you'd need to take two capsules of chitosan five times a day for seven months in order to lose even a single pound of body fat, the researchers warn.
