> Most "light" ice cream sucks. It's denser, less creamy, and not as flavorful as the full-cal stuff. But Dreyer's--the company that makes Dreyer's, Edy's, and Nestle ice cream--has found a way to make lower-calorie ice cream taste better. The secret involves something called slow churning, where the ice cream is churned longer than normal at a lower temperature, thereby stretching the fat molecules and helping to distribute them more evenly throughout the ice cream (giving it a fuller flavor).
