Rule 1: Let her call the shots. If she doesn't like her butt, stay away from the back of the barn. If she wants to be the keeper of the camera, play fair and let her have it. The more comfortable she feels being shot, the further you can take whatever happens in front of the lens. "I never ask my models to do anything I wouldn't hop in front of the camera and do myself," says Natacha Merritt, a photographer whose books, such as Digital Diaries, are filled with shots of her friends naked and in various stages of sex. "I figure that if I'm not comfortable doing something, how could I expect someone else to be?"

Rule 2: Make sure she can still run for president one day. Include only part of her face in the shot: Photograph her from her mouth down, or let her peek around an arm or through her hair. Telling her that you're not shooting her face will make her more open to trying "other" things in front of the camera.
Rule 3: Less does not equal more. A silhouette of her body wrapped in a sheet is often more tantalizing than a close-up crotch shot of hair follicles. Always think about mood when shooting. Try experimenting with back-lighting to make her skirt or dress see-through.
Rule 4: Stay legal. Public nudity is an offense that carries heavy fines or jail time. Even worse for you it's not always that sexy. Try leaving your subject partially dressed when shooting: shoes, stockings, whatever. The bit of clothing will make whatever she is revealing seem even hotter.
Rule 5: Go digital. If girls have learned anything from Paris Hilton, it's got to be to run like the wind whenever a video camera appears. Digital cameras are a much smarter option. They're small--so she won't feel as self-conscious in front of the lens. Plus, if you use a digital, you won't have to worry about the perv at the photo department fantasizing about your naked girl.
