Credible certificates - Letters

I've been thinking about becoming a personal trainer, but until recently have not made time to get my certification. I am serious about it now, but I'm having a problem distinguishing between the different certifying bodies. Is any one more credible than the next? Also, in your magazine you often quote people with the letters "C.S.C.S." after their names. What does that stand for?

C.S.C.S. stands for "certified strength and conditioning specialist." It's a more advanced certification than the standard personal-training certification.
