Here's one more: In cognitive tests conducted by British researchers, young adults demonstrated improvements in long-term memory when breathing air scented with the herb rosemary.

By contrast, those who smelled lavender-considered a relaxant--actually did worse on mental tests than those who didn't smell anything at all.
