The man behind our promise to help you boost your bench press 40 pounds by Thanksgiving, trainer Jim Wendler says "The Better Bench Workout" is a combination of ideas and techniques he's used over the past 19 years. "There's nothing trendy or faddish about the program, It provides concrete results, and I think that's what everyone truly wants." In competition, he's squatted 1,000 pounds and benched 675. When he's not busy competing or working for us, Wendler can be found obsessively listening to music or spending time with his 3-year-old son.
