District 31 had their Spring Symposium on May 11 at the Carriage House of the Governor's Mansion. The speaker was Kip Doran who spoke about medication side effects as well as the use of technology in psychiatry. We honored our Clinician of the Year at the Spring Symposium as well celebrated the retirement of our highly respected colleague, Dr. Denny Webster. Denny has taught for many years at the University of Colorado Health Science Center preparing undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate nurses for careers in the field of mental health. She is recognized for her dedication to the art of nursing and has worked to promote the field of mental health nursing. Denny plans to move out of state and will be a loss to the nursing profession. We wish Denny continued happiness in all that she pursues
