Partnership for online degree in health law

Access, Jan, 2008 by Meghan Washington

Loyola University Chicago's School of Law will partner with Concord Law School to offer its Master of Jurisprudence (MJ) in Health Law degree online beginning May 2008.

Loyola's MJ in Health Law provides a unique opportunity for non-attorney health care professionals to examine and learn the laws and regulations that govern the health care industry and professions.

Concord Law School, which pioneered the development of online legal education, has been providing training in the health law area to non-lawyer professionals since 2001. "Increased accessibility to legal education is a significant part of our school's mission, and we are very pleased to be part of this project," said Barry Currier, dean of Concord Law School. "This partnership with Loyola brings the Beazley Institute's first-rate health law curriculum to a much broader audience, which benefits both the students and the health care industry as a whole."
