BUSINESS SALES AND INVENTORIES--Manufacturing and Trade
In May, according to preliminary estimates, manufacturing and trade sales fell 0.2 percent. In April according to current estimates, manufacturing and trade sales rose 1.1 percent and inventories rose $3.0 billion. According to advance estimates, retail sales fell 0.5 percent in May. Retail and food services sales rose 0.5 percent.
